Article 2 - Operator identity

Article 3 - Acceptance
Any order placed on the platform implies full acceptance of these T&Cs. The Buyer acknowledges having read the T&Cs before validating their order.
Article 4 - Products and descriptions
Products offered are described as accurately as possible. Photographs are indicative; since each piece is handmade, slight variations in color, texture, dimensions, or weight may occur and do not constitute defects. The weight in kilograms indicated on each product sheet serves as the reference for calculating shipping costs; the actual weight recorded at dispatch prevails.
Article 5 - Prices
Prices are displayed in CFA Francs (XOF) with indicative conversion to euros (EUR) and dollars (USD). The price retained is the one in effect at the time of order validation. Prices include the artisan margin, the SIAM Online Ltd commission, and any local taxes, but exclude shipping costs and international customs duties, which are the responsibility of the Buyer.
Article 6 - Order
The order is validated after payment confirmation. A summary email is sent to the Buyer. SIAM Online Ltd reserves the right to refuse an order in case of prior dispute, suspicion of fraud, or stock shortage.
Article 7 - Payment
Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers (PSP). Kkiapay covers West Africa, in CFA francs: Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Moov Money, Celtiis Cash) and bank card. Mollie covers international payments, in euros: iDEAL, Bancontact, bank card, SEPA transfer and PayPal. The available payment methods are displayed at checkout, according to the Buyer's country and the currency of the order. Any refunds are processed by the provider that handled the original payment, to the same payment method. SIAM Online Ltd has no direct access to the Buyer's bank data. Transactions are secured by SSL/TLS encryption.
Article 8 - Delivery
Delivery methods, times, and rates are detailed on the Shipping page. Customs duties and import taxes outside the ECOWAS zone - including the European Union, where VAT applies from the first euro and, from 1 July 2026, a flat customs duty - are the responsibility of the Buyer; details are provided on the Shipping page.
Article 9 - Right of withdrawal
In accordance with European directive 2011/83/EU and OHADA law, the Buyer has a period of 14 days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to justify reasons or pay penalties, except for return costs.
Exception - The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to measure or personalized at the Buyer's request (article 16 of EU directive 2011/83).
Article 10 - Warranties
All products benefit from the legal conformity warranty. In case of defect, the Buyer may request repair, replacement, or refund of the product. Contact for any claim: contact page.
Article 11 - Liability
SIAM Online Ltd acts as a technical intermediary between artisan-sellers and buyers. SIAM Online Ltd's liability is limited to the proper functioning of the platform. The authenticity and quality of products fall under the responsibility of the ICHÉDÀ Cooperative (certification label) and the artisans themselves. The transport, routing, and delivery of parcels fall under the responsibility of La Poste du Bénin, as carrier, in accordance with international postal rules (UPU).
Article 12 - Intellectual property
All elements of the platform (texts, images, code, trademarks) are protected by copyright. Any reproduction without prior authorization is prohibited. Artisans retain rights over their creations and personal photos.
Article 13 - Personal data
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, in compliance with the GDPR (EU 2016/679) and Beninese law No. 2017-20 on the digital code.
Article 14 - Applicable law and disputes
These T&Cs are governed by OHADA law and subsidiarily by Beninese law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Otherwise, the competent courts will be those of SIAM Online Ltd's registered office. European buyers retain the right to bring the case before the jurisdiction of their country of residence.
Article 15 - Mediation
In the event of a dispute, the Buyer is invited to first contact SIAM Online Ltd via the contact page to seek an amicable solution. Failing agreement, a Buyer who is a consumer residing in the European Union may refer the matter to a competent out-of-court dispute resolution body (consumer mediation) in their country. The list of approved bodies in the EU is available on the European Commission website: consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
